The gaming facility operated by the Confederated Salish and Kootenai Tribes opened its doors last week, following a renovation plan that included new gaming tables and a restaurant.

“All the construction is done and it is good to be open. We’re very excited to be in business.” said S&K Gaming CEO Bryon Miller.

According to the operator, it was the coming of the summer sun that has had the biggest impact on business. “The winter weather was the wild card and it had an impact on the attendance but that has changed since things have thawed out,” Miller said. “It was a long winter and people are now getting out and traveling more. That has meant more business for us. We now have more than 3,800 people in our Players Club.”

In all there was a total of $25,000 in drawings throughout the evening’s grand opening festivities
