Government agencies said the casino structure had met all building regulations and the company had assured the Commission that all concerns raised by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration had been addressed, including clearance of construction debris.
Occupational Safety and Health had fined three contractors on the building site $US193,750 after it found workers had been exposed to numerous workplace hazards.
These included inadequate fall protection, unsecured scaffolding, unprotected crane operation areas, unguarded machines, and failure to notify the administration about a work-related amputation.
