The New Hampshire House will hold a public hearing Tuesday on Senate Bill 242. The measure would authorize slot machines and table games at two casinos.

Senator Lou D’Allesandro- lead sponsor of the bill and a longtime casino champion- takes it as a good sign that the House passed both Keno and the online purchase of lottery tickets during its budget deliberations.

D’Allesandro estimated that the bill would generate USD 194 million in tax revenue in FY 2021.

“They passed Keno and they passed the online buying of lottery tickets so they must like gambling,” said D’Allesandro.

“New Hampshire people support expanded gaming,” D’Allesandro said. “That’s a postulate I believe in. Do the 400 members of the House? I don’t know.”
