This brand-new event on the gaming calendar promises a unique and exciting long weekend of live Roulette table action. Players will go head to head with other players, not the casino, as they battle it out for a guaranteed top prize of €50,000.
Further cash prizes make up a total prize fund of around €200,000. Online players meanwhile will be able to win additional prizes at Evolution’s online ECR Live Roulette table, which will be available via Betsson Group brand websites 28 March to 8 April.
200 pre-qualified players plus Tournament Buy-In also available
ECR is a Betsson Group initiative which has been marketed to 200,000-plus active European online players across the Group’s 15 brands. From that pool of players, 200 players have already qualified for invitation to the Championship finals in Malta. In addition, a range of Tournament Buy-In Packages is available, with prices starting at €550.
According to the official ECR website (www.ecroulette.com) the Championship format couldn’t be simpler: “One starting stack, one ball and one wheel. The last person standing brings home the bacon. Are you ready?”
A new kind of experience for Roulette players
Alexis Wicen, Managing Director of Casino Brands at Betsson Group, said, “We are very excited about the inaugural European Championship of Roulette. With the event we are trying to bring more excitement to one of the most iconic Casino games, Roulette. Roulette tournaments are nothing new and have been around online and offline for a long time. However, with a huge prize pool of €200,000 and a tournament with literally hundreds of players betting on the outcome of one wheel, we hope to create a new kind of experience for Roulette players.”
Marcus Huber, Head of Key Accounts at Evolution, added, “ECR 2017 promises to be a really exciting event in a fantastic setting. We are delighted to be there as a main sponsor and also to be able to stream the excitement via our dedicated ECR 2017 online table to many thousands of Roulette fans worldwide.”
