The format provides attendees with a unique opportunity to converse with one another and obtain insights into industry advances.
GLI Director of Client Services Michael Capen said, “The topics at this year’s Regulators Roundtable have been derived from not only questions that our clients ask on a regular basis, but also current events that are taking place in the gaming industry. We think that it is important to share with regulators and operators upcoming trends and challenges that they can expect to face in the future and prepare for ahead of time.”
High-level topics featured at this year’s conference include:
Electronic Table Games
eSports
Fantasy Sports
GLI University
iGaming
Promotional Scams and Slot Cheats
Skill-based Gaming
Social gaming
Virtual Sports
Keynoting the event is Larry Potts, Scientific Games’ Senior Vice President Chief Compliance Officer, who will address the timely and important topic of taking risks. Potts brings an interesting story and unique experience to the Regulators Roundtable. He joined Scientific Games in 2004 after retiring as a Deputy Director from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Having worked violent crime, white collar crime and organized crime cases as Street Agent, he applies a diverse set of skills to his current position, allowing him to effectively manage regulatory compliance, investigations and corporate security.
In addition to general sessions, concurrent breakout sessions will be offered. One of the options will be a new “GLI Innovation Room,” which allows hands-on, personal experiences to make this year’s Regulators Roundtable meaningful and customized to each and every attendee. The room will be staffed with experts to answer questions and provide live demonstrations. Attendees will also be able to visit the “Ask the Experts Lounge,” which is an open forum and discussion between experts and attendees on any gaming-related topic.
