Table games were also added, expanding to 32 from the original 23, with more blackjack and roulette areas, along with other card games.
From its early December opening as a full-scale gambling operation through February 12, Tioga Downs has reported total gross gaming revenue of $13.2 million, according to reports on file with the New York Gaming Commission.
The added slots feature touch screen capabilities, downloadable credits and bonus games, according to Tioga Downs. Some of the notable new games have Green Machine and "Wheel of Fortune" themes, or are based off of popular TV shows such as "House of Cards" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show."
“We are so grateful for the continued patience of our guests as we completed the transition to a full casino,” said Scott Freeman, president and general manager of Tioga Downs.
With the expansion, comes a need for Tioga Downs to hire more employees.
“Harness Racing season is only a few months away, and we’ll soon be announcing our 2017 Summer Concert Series," Freeman said. "We’re excited for a big year ahead of us and are hiring for a multitude of people, including positions at the track and casino positions including table game dealers, food and beverage, and beyond."
