Under the deal, Sportradar’s renowned Fraud Detection System will monitor over 200 Rugby League matches, including all Betfred Super League games, Ladbrokes Challenge Cup games as well as the Dacia World Club Series.
To complement this service, Sportradar Integrity Services will also deliver integrity workshops to club representatives and Rugby Football League match officials.
In parallel, the Rugby Football League has finalized an official data partnership with Sportradar which will ensure that data from Rugby Football League competitions is made available to a range of businesses and platforms.
Rugby Football League Director of Operations and Legal Karen Moorhouse outlined her thoughts on the partnership, “At the Rugby Football League we take the integrity of the game very seriously. It is important that everyone within Rugby League, but also those outside our immediate reach, are in no doubt about our commitment to an honest and credible sport. Our partnership with Sportradar underpins our message and magnifies it. We are looking forward to working with them over the coming years.”
Sportradar’s Managing Director for Integrity Services added, “It seems that 2017, as young a year as it is, is already showing itself to be a year of unmatched commitment to the sporting integrity cause. Following the recent CAS decision and our FIFA Partnership, this alliance with the Rugby Football League is incredibly encouraging and shows that the sporting world continues to have sports and individuals who are unwavering in their commitment to competition that generates emotion and can be free of doubt.”
