Representatives from the casino, betting, bingo, lottery, mobile, online, street, sports and social gaming sectors will gather at the annual Mecca of gaming to exhange ideas, discuss industry hot topics and set the trends for the year ahead.
As reported by Clarion Events, this new edition will be much bigger than last year's, thanks to an additional 1,945 sqm of net space. The 2017 ICE conference occupies a total of 40,925 sqm compared to the 2016 figure of 38,980 sqm. The 5% increase in space, according to show organizers, makes the 2017 event the biggest ICE on record.
Reflecting on the growth of the London exhibition, Kate Chambers, Managing Director of Clarion’s Gaming Division, pointed out, “Whilst it is obviously positive to be able to talk about the growth of ICE in this way, equally we are very aware of the need to control and manage the brand’s development rather than pursue a full-out expansion strategy. What this means in practice is that we are working hard to try and mirror expansion on the show floor with a concomitant increase in visitors, a task that we continue to invest in through enhanced marketing and communications. We are only guardians of the ICE brand and it’s essential for us to manage the growth strategy in a sensible, pragmatic and, most importantly, sustainable way. Relocating to ExCeL has allowed us to grow the brand, but at the right pace.”
Reacting to the increasing demand for training and learning programs, show organizers have launched several free-to-attend courses and sessions which include:
ICE VOX is the new learning brand debuting this year. It comprises a program of free to attend seminars taking place on the ICE show floor as well as a program of eight paid for learning modules. The modules comprise: The International Casino Conference; World Regulatory Briefing; Cross-Platform & Multi-Channel Gaming; Modernizing Lotteries; Data Science & Personalization; BetMarkets; Cybercrime Security and Regulatory Compliance in Gaming, and Game Design and Development.
The International Casino Conference opens the ICE VOX program of learning and networking and will feature keynote addresses from some of the most influential figures in the gaming industry such as Geoff Freeman, President and CEO of the American Gaming.
The Totally Gaming Academy will be delivering sessions covering all 12 of its courses from the TGA Theatre in Hall S9.
The IMGL Masterclass will examine and delve into some of the most critical legal and regulatory challenges posed by gaming today and in the near future.
