Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem leads the way

Table games revenue soars at Pennsylvania casinos in 2016

Revenue from poker, blackjack and other table games at Pennsylvania casinos rose 5.6% last year, to USD 853.24 million, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Tuesday.

Revenue from poker, blackjack and other table games at Pennsylvania casinos rose 5.6% last year, to USD 853.24 million, the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board reported Tuesday.

The leader was Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, which had $230.2 million in table games revenue, up 7 percent. Parx Casino in Bensalem was second, with $161.8 million in revenue, up 12 percent. SugarHouse Casino, in Fishtown, which benefited from an expansion last year, reported a 23 percent increase, to $116.5 million.

Revenue at Harrah's Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack in Chester fell 4 percent, to $65.3 million. At Valley Forge Casino Resort revenue rose 6 percent, to $37 million.

Including slots, Pennsylvania casinos' gambling revenue topped $3.2 billion for the first time.
