Marcel Heutmekers looks back at 2016 to highlight the achievements of gaming and lottery giant in the Latin American region.

Having established an extensive presence throughout Latin America, this past year reflects the company's firm commitment to continously enriching the region with end-to-end gaming solutions, the industry veteran told Yogonet.

As for the response by Latin American players to the products introduced in the past year, Heutmakers noted, “We experienced a strong market response to the AXXIS 23/23 cabinet, and received positive initial feedback from operators on the cabinet’s performance and player experiences. Since its Latin America debut at FADJA, the AXXIS 23/23 has been deployed in various markets such as Argentina, and showcased at multiple trade shows including SAGSE Panama, Peru Gaming Show, and SAGSE Buenos Aires. Developed with a rich multi-game content library with suites such as diversity HD, the AXXIS 23/23 cabinet was designed to help operators increase profitability and player loyalty.”

IGT placed a significant investment in expanding its systems solutions portfolio over the past year. “For example, IGT’s System2go solution received favorable feedback from our customers for its capability to streamline casino management services for single and multi-site operators,” the IGT VP of Commercial Gaming International commented.

Recently, the company installed the popular system at a customer's property in St. Maarten, and continues to highlight the versatile solution at various trade shows throughout the region. With 2017 off to a good start, Heutmekers explained to Yogonet that “We are planning to extend our advanced systems offerings to operators in Latin America with IGT’s Service Window application, Cardless Connect mobile technology and PlaySpot mobile software solution.”

Building on the success of its multi-level progressive themes, the gaming manufacturer released several dynamic titles new to the region last year. “Engaging games including Masquerade Party, Egyptian Empire, Fu Gui Ji Li and San Xing Bao Xi have elevated gaming entertainment on casino floors throughout Latin America. Additionally, 2016 provided IGT with an opportunity to extend our rich Premium product lineup to Latin America,” Heutmekers stated.

The arrival of IGT's popular, licensed themes such as the House of Cards game series, Wheel of Fortune slots, Baywatch 3D and the Jurassic Park video slots at Latin American properties “highlight IGT’s commitment to empowering casino operators with innovative gaming solutions that propel their businesses forward and increase player engagement,” the Company executive said.

Heutmekers concluded by reaffirming the Company's mission and underlining its expansion plans for the emerging markets: “We’ve focused a lot in the last year on listening to our customers and making improvements in several product segments. As part of our ongoing Customer First approach, we unveiled our key theme, “Innovation at Play” in 2016, which emphasizes our dedication to providing operators with meaningful innovations that differentiates their casino floors. We want to thank our valued customers for their continued support and trust in IGT, and looking ahead, we will continue to deliver best-in-class gaming solutions to them while identifying opportunities for growth in emerging markets such as Costa Rica.”
