Eduardo Aching shines a light on goals for the coming year with Yogonet: “We’re working toward the release of new concepts first debuted at G2E 2016, including skill-based games and multi-station games.”

What are the main directions or areas you are working on at the moment?

For the past 16 months, our Concerto video slot has been a huge focus, and as we announced just months ago during G2E, Konami’s R&D team is concentrating on expanding this proven machine to a variety of video slot products to support the market with more performance-producing results. Concerto Slant, Concerto SeleXion multi-game, and our first single screen cabinets Concerto Stack and curved Concerto Crescent are the latest products added and we’re focused on bringing this collection of cabinets to market with a library of exciting new themes to support them.

What makes you excited about the industry's momentum?

Konami has maintained that its mission is to responsibly support global markets with the games and technology they need to reach their customers. As we see potential for new regulated markets, and new gaming sectors such as skill-based for certain existing markets, we’re excited for the possibility to present our latest advancements for these new areas and reach new player audiences.

What comes next for the company? What new developments can we expect to witness under your leadership?

In the immediate term, we’re launching our first two additions to the Concerto collection: Concerto Slant and Concerto SeleXion

Concerto Slant has all the features of the popular upright machine, but with a relaxed angle that many guests enjoy. The new slant and the classic upright both support our SeleXion multi-game technology, which allows operators to offer up to 10 games on a single machine, with the option for a bonus progressive.

Further into the upcoming year, we’re working toward release of the new concepts first debuted at G2E 2016, including skill-based games like Beat Square and Frogger: Get Hoppin as well as multi-station games like Crystal Cyclone and Fortune Cup horse racing. We saw exceptional interest for these during the Las Vegas show and our development teams are working diligently to deliver. We’re confident in what Konami’s next generation product can bring to the market and look forward to seeing these new machines reach players worldwide.

How would you describe the year gone by in one phrase?

I would describe 2016 as a year characterized by new ambitions.
