The American Gaming Association (AGA) has sent a memo to the President-elect Donald J. Trump transition team laying out its priorities and stances on key issues for 2017 and beyond.

The memo also provides Trump, a former casino owner, and his transition team with the latest facts about the USD 240B gaming industry, which supports 1.7 million jobs, generates USD 38B in tax revenue and serves as a strong community partner across 40 states.

The memo focuses on the following policy areas: illegal gambling; sports betting; anti-money laundering compliance; off-reservation tribal gaming; tax reform; immigration; travel and tourism; Yucca Mountain; and infrastructure improvements.

“We look forward to working with the Trump administration and the incoming Congress on a range of critical issues, from sports betting and illegal gambling to tax reform and immigration,” said Geoff Freeman, AGA president and CEO. “The gaming industry has never been more united and better positioned to advocate for policies that promote growth and reinvestment.”
