Asian casino operator Macau Legend Development Limited has reportedly revealed that its new Legend Palace Hotel in the Fisherman’s Wharf district of Macau is expected to begin trial operations by mid-January.

According to a report from the Chinese-language Macao Daily News, the revelation came from David Chow Kam Fai, Co-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Hong Kong-listed Macau Legend Development Limited, while he additionally explained that the Macau property’s in-house casino with 80 to 120 gaming tables is currently undergoing government inspections.

Under gaming licenses held by SJM Holdings Limited, Macau Legend Development Limited operates the Pharaoh’s Palace Casino inside The Landmark Macau hotel along with the nearby Babylon Casino Macau and declared that the five-star Legend Palace Hotel is to offer 223 “opulent guest rooms” alongside suites, a health club with a swimming pool and gym, restaurants and retail, entertainment and leisure facilities.

Macau Legend Development Limited, which purchased the Savan Vegas Hotel And Entertainment Complex in Laos for approximately $42 million in early-September, stated that the Legend Palace Hotel is to be its second new hotel to open in the Fisherman’s Wharf district following the February of 2015 inauguration of its Harbourview Hotel. The company also proclaimed that it plans to expand its self-run VIP gaming business to the new venue and will be relocating some of its existing tables while moreover applying for additional licenses.
