Mryland's five casinos brought in nearly $92 million in state revenue in November, its 12th straight month of year-over-year gains, the Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency announced this week.

Statewide casino revenue increased 2.5 percent — more than $2.2 million — from November 2015, buoyed by a nearly 16 percent revenue increase at the Horseshoe Casino Baltimore to $28.5 million.

Last November was the last time the casinos' collective revenue declined, slipping about 0.5 percent. Monthly revenue has reached $100 million four times since 2010, with a record of $104.4 million set in May.

A sixth Maryland casino, the $1.4 billion MGM National Harbor just seven miles from Washington in Prince George's County, is scheduled to open Thursday.

Maryland Live Casino in Anne Arundel County, which has the most slot machines and table games in the state, remained significantly ahead the others in revenue in November, with $50.2 million, despite a 2.7 percent decrease year-over-year

Hollywood Casino Perryville in Cecil County, the state's first casino in 2010, generated $5.6 million in revenue, a 6.9 percent drop from the previous November.

The Casino at Ocean Downs in Worcester County barely eclipsed Rocky Gap Casino Resort in Allegany County last month as both brought in a revenue of roughly $3.8 million.

Rocky Gap saw the second-largest revenue increase in the state, about 5.6 percent. Revenue dropped 1.7 percent at Ocean Downs, which has 164 more slot machines than Rocky Gap but no table games.
