Speaking with Yogonet, Stanev praised a successful G2E 2016 in Las Vegas, stating the company had “the highest number of visitors at our booth and received many compliments about the products on display”.

How did G2E attendees react to your product lineup?

This year we had the highest number of visitors at our booth and received many compliments about the displayed products - slot cabinets and multigame mixes, multiplayer solutions, interactive games and a casino management system. We attracted interest from all over the U.S., including from the tribal casinos, Central and South America, Canada and other countries.

This year’s G2E was the best exhibition we have had so far in Vegas

What were EGT’s highlights at this G2E edition?

Among the newest showcased models of the company were the Curved slot machines that follow the most modern concepts in contemporary industrial design, the Super Premier cabinet, providing highest comfort for the players, the jackpot systems 3 Happy Hits and 4 Happy Hits, both mystery progressive, as well as the progressive Chinese themed Fu Gui Rong Hua. Our Collection series multigame mixes – Fruits, Red, Green and Orange, summoned the audience with their gaming choice and the Lucky Circle Cash touch table of Luxury series became a hit with its sophisticated design and high-end technologies. We showed also for a first time in the U.S. our Spider casino management system and it was accepted very well by the visitors.

EGT Interactive’s games gathered a lot of guests mainly from Latin America

Considering that non-gaming has, over the last years, become an effective revenue driver for casinos, what are the main challenges facing the industry?

I consider online gaming as the biggest challenge that faces our industry. It is related to much more fundamental questions than the return on investments, or how to attract the young players into land-based casinos. The new generation of players has been raised in the era of internet, computers, mobile devices, video games and their preferences and tastes are shaped in a completely different way. So they will look for a newly tailored service and it is inevitable for the operators to adapt. We are already witnessing a boom in the online gaming sector and most land-based casinos are also trying to attract the youngsters via specially targeted non-gambling entertainments, like DJ parties, modern artists’ performances, etc., but I am sure that the shifts in our industry are yet to come and that in 5 to 10 years everything will look very different from now.

How is this year going for the company? What is coming next?

EGT had a dynamic 2016.

We opened new offices in Colombia and Peru, had a sales increase of 30% for the year, and kept our team growing – currentlywe have over 1250 employees, around 50% of them are part of our R&D departments

We also reached many new markets as Holland, Belgium, Morocco and made a number of very successful installations in Mexico, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, as well as in the U.S. – mainly in Florida, Ohio, Puerto Rico, and in several tribal gaming jurisdictions too. After a period of discontinuation, EGT will renew its work in Russia where we are about to install our first machines in the first casino in Sochi very soon. So the year has been highly successful for us and the next one is shaping to be the same.

What new markets are you going to pursue in the coming months?

For 2017 we plan again a sales growth of 30%, as well as the manufacturing of around 18,000 gaming stations. As for the new markets, we will be aiming at England, Canada, Chile, Paraguay and some Asian countries, like Macao.
