“G2E is the most important event in the gambling industry,” DLV Sales Director Carlos Sotomayor told Yogonet as he agreed to a exclusive talk to analyze the big show that took place in Las Vegas on September 26-29.

What products did you decide to showcase at G2E? In your opinion, which will have a better reception in Latin America?

For this edition we presented our new fancy cabinet Diamond Excel with Two 27" LCD screens, and our new multigame Diamond Games Ultra 4 featuring 25 games. Furthermore, we also showcased the already well- known Lab Creatures that features three jackpot levels and Diamond Games Ultra 3 with 25 games that we are sure will be very well accepted, offering full entertainment.

We also exhibited the Diamond Games 8 and 9, our mystery progressive jackpots Vollinstars and Gauya Quest and the Dragon Jackpot and Jewel Jackpot 3, these last two with greater presence in the national and international markets.

Additionally, keeping up with our product portfolio, we exhibited our Diamond HD cabinet featuring 24” screens and the Diamond DWS, both models with a new platform that is compatible with all the new programs we have developed.

We have seen a great demand for our latest developments, both for cabinets and our multigame offer featuring 25 games, like the Excel cabinet and the diverse multigame products that are indeed incorporated to our progressive system

Which operators visited DLV’s stand at G2E?

I would first like to mention that the very own fact of being present at G2E is an honor for us and it encourages us, as manufacturers, to continue working for a strong brand positioning in the market.

G2E Las Vegas is the most important and significant event in the industry. It is definitely an important display window

Indeed we were visited by important operators from Panama, Canada, Costa Rica, Uruguay, Dominican Republic, Chile and of course Peru, among others.

DLV has a solid presence in Peru. Furthermore, a local company this year began to sell your products in Argentina. Are you planning to open an office in Argentina? What other Latin American markets are attractive to DLV?

One way or the other, we have always tried to get our products into Argentina. We know it is a large market, with a lot of potential. For obvious reasons, we were not able to do it before. It is different now following the change of the political tune of the new government. We are very optimistic and we trust that our partners in Argentina will do very well.

If we are considering an office in Argentina, we will analyze that possibility over time.

We are always considering new markets; we are really always taking a close look at Latin American countries, especially those we are not present at. Our search for business opportunities is constant, taking into account the country’s legislation.

In an interview with Yogonet earlier this year, you said that DLV was “analyzing new PR strategies” with the company organizing events. Do you have any in mind already?

Indeed we are analyzing new communication and event participation strategies that we will organize ourselves. We want to come out with a format that suits operators. We are analyzing the possibility of offering periodical trainings to gambling venues staff. It will allow us to come closer to our clients, learn about their needs and also their suggestions.

We are evaluating the possibility of organizing showrooms in Peru, for a start. It is a plus that we will be offering to our clients soon

Considering the political shift in Argentina, how do you see the market evolving this year? Are you planning to take part in SAGSE Buenos Aires?

It is a recent political shift and there is certainly great expectation as several manufacturers consider entering Argentina’s market a good option.

We will be participating in SAGSE Buenos Aires. This is show is an excellent opportunity to make our brand stronger. We are completely sure that our partner in Argentina will successfully manage the distribution and sale of DLV products.
