FBM’s Director General and Vice President respectively Luis Casamayor and Renato Almeida discussed with Yogonet the highlights of this year’s G2E show where they said Mexican clients had “perfect attendance.” “We are planning to expand our stand for next year,” they affirmed. And it is the “success” with Mexico operators the FBM officials are blaming again for.

The company has been exhibiting for some years now at the event. How do you assess this year’s G2E? How operators continue to react to video bingo products?

Renato Almeida (RA): It has been a very good show. Many visitors from Brazil and other markets had questions for us. Our main goal is to meet the demands of our Mexican clients who had perfect attendance. We organize a successful reception for them and they were really pleased with the news we presented.

Luis Casamayor (LC): All Mexican operators attend G2E because of the proximity to their country. It’s been very good for us. We presented the Galaxy platform that has two touchscreen monitors 22”. We introduced this product last year but we have now added more games to it. It proved a great performance in the Mexican market which had been showing some shrinking signs for some time. Considering this, it was a success.

What is FBM’s current market position in Mexico?

LC: We have managed to build a strong market position as video bingo suppliers. We have experienced impressive growth and I am positive trends will continue.

In fact, we are planning to expand our stand in the show next year considering the attendance of operators from this market. We feel confident

All eyes in the industry are now on Brazil considering the business opportunities this market has to offer. How do you see the rest of Latin American countries?

RA: Gambling operators are already assessing the potential of Latin American markets, especially Brazil’s. I don’t think there is a market that big that is close to opening. It will of course have an impact on neighboring markets such as Uruguay and Paraguay. In the rest of regional markets, the situation remains difficult. We have managed to have some products authorized in Bolivia but legislation there is just not a motivation for us.

What are the main challenges for 2017?

LC: We will continue to build our Galaxy platform; we have invested many of our efforts into it. We will be including new games as well. All in all, we will continue evolving to expand our customer base, mainly in Mexico and Spain.
