How did G2E attendees react to your product lineup?
We had a fantastic response to our product offering at G2E, with our Virtual Sports wall, Exclusive Mike Tyson cabinet, and Mobile Bar among the stand out features at the booth. We recently became the first company to launch Virtual Sports products into the North American market, and it was great to bring the full portfolio of games to G2E and showcase them to new customers and delegates. Last year we launched our brand partnership with Mike Tyson at G2E, and so it was exciting to bring some of the now live Tyson by Inspired products to the stand. Our special Tyson branded Eclipse cabinet featuring Mike Tyson Blackjack proved popular as players lined up to challenge the champion.
Growth in our mobile division is an important area of strategic focus for Inspired, and our mobile bar gave us opportunity to demonstrate why more players than ever are choosing to play Inspired games on their mobile devices. From Lightning Squad, which launched during the show, to Fabric 4, to Centurion, our studios consistently produce chart-topping games which are deployed via our unique Virgo RGS.
What would you say were the highlights of this G2E edition?
Without a doubt, our new brand partner, Shaquille O’Neal, stole the show at G2E 2016. Shaq will be the face of our new Rush Basketball Virtual Sports product which we anticipate going live in 2017. Delegates queued for hours around the show hall to have their picture taken with the NBA Hall of Fame star, who said that working with Inspired to promote the game is ‘going to be a great experience.’ We’re confident that this premium product will be a slam dunk with operators and players alike.
How is this year going for the company? What is coming next?
We’ve had an incredibly busy and productive year at Inspired; the biggest news being that have exchanged a sale and purchase agreement with Hydra Industries, which we expect to complete before the end of the year. After completion the combined company will become Inspired Entertainment Incorporated and we will be NADSDAQ listed as INSE.
Meanwhile, it’s business as usual as we continue to create great products and deploy them to more global endpoints than ever before. New games from the Inspired studios, such as Atlantis and Fabric 4 have proven instantly popular with operators and players, and our new Mike Tyson branded roulette and slots have been consistently driving revenues since their release. As for what’s next? We’ll be bringing our world-class Entertainment with an Edge to more new territories, exploring more new brand partnership opportunities, and creating more sophisticated hardware, technology, and gaming experiences.
What new markets are you going to pursue in the coming months?
We recently became the first company in the world to deploy Virtual Sports into the North American market, with multiple contract wins in New Jersey and Nevada. In the coming months we will look to build on these existing contracts while continuing to look at opportunities to gain certification in further North American states. Beyond that, we anticipate that rollout in Greece will happen in 2017 and that China will also present new market opportunities.
