Ladbrokes clarifies position on eSports

Reports last week that Ladbrokes had unilaterally and without explanation taken down its eSports betting markets triggered an extraordinary amount of speculation among observers and players alike, but the company has now clarified its position.
Ladbrokes is not exiting the eSports market, a spokesman said Thursday, explaining that the company paused to upgrade its eSports offering.
“At no point have we decided to stop taking these bets and we will shortly have more markets available to all our customers,” he said.
