Fournier sees "moment of expansion" in gaming industry

“There is so much going on that G2E seems the perfect place to talk and listen, sell and buy,” Fournier Export Area Manager Roberto Perea told Yogonet in an interview where he discussed the company's expectations for this year's G2E Las Vegas.

Why is the G2E Las Vegas a good fit for your company?

G2E Las Vegas is one of the most anticipated events for us. It is a reference for operators in North America, Latin America & the Caribbean and on top of that it is capable of attracting some operators coming from Asia, Europe and Africa. So we able to meet many of our customers and successfully present new products on a global basis.

What will be the highlights and why?

We are very excited with this year’s show. Our floor area will be the biggest ever and alongside that I read recently that the show is expecting to bring even more attendees and exhibiting companies than in 2015. This is great for the gaming industry. It means that market is growing and there are new opportunities coming. Operators are not only making a good business but are looking for solutions that help them to generate more profits and add value to the player’s experience.

Will you be introducing new products at the show?

We are presenting this year our new version of the Bee-tek Baccarat Shoe, the v938. The first generation saw the light in 2008 and today we are marketing the most advanced version of the Bee-tek Baccarat Shoe, which is GLI-29 compliant and very easy to use. This new version keeps the signature elements that have been praised for so long, being this the ergonomic product design, the robustness, the PR-X technology that prevents the dreaded overdraw and the cards value reading accuracy. In this sense the Bee-tek platform has proven itself over the past years and over 1.2 billion hands without reading a single card value incorrectly.

How do you see the gaming industry these days?

More lively and more technology driven than ever. As I mentioned before, there is so much going on this year. We are seeing a moment of expansion and operators are looking forward to exploring new revenue and profit drivers.

I remember a few years ago when we launched our Bee-tek Baccarat Electronic Shoe and factory Pre-Shuffled cards, interest was concentrated mainly in Macao and the US territory.

What projects are Fournier – USPC working on now?

We as a company have been gathering knowledge of the casino industry and in particular of the table games business for many decades. We understood a few years ago that table games business was becoming more technological, more digital… but at the same time keeping the essence of the traditional elements, in this case, playing cards. So we started to walk a road that would bring together these two elements: the physical and the digital casino systems.

Our Bee-Tek Baccarat Shoe is a perfect example of this journey we embarked on 8 years ago woith over 2,000 placements around the world. Today we are working on projects that follow this storyline, which has proved very successful as operators are not only coming to us for the finest cards but for integrated solutions for their table games that can offer to them an increased profitability, more security, more control over the game and enhanced player’s experience.
