Revel owner Glenn Straub has been faced with his fair share of runaround’s from the state and Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. The Revel was supposed to see its doors reopen on June 15th, but that didn’t happen, and now Straub himself is questioning if it’s ever going to happen.
New Jersey state officials have examined the property, Straub and everything that is connected with a fine tooth comb. As of right now Straub is still waiting on a permit that will allow him to operate the property from the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority.
“They spend less than four hours there and they say, ‘Where’s Nikki Beach?’ Are you kidding me? It’s only that the politically controlled people of this state are so backwards and that’s why everybody tells you, ‘Mr. Straub, watch yourself in New Jersey,” Straub recently said.
The new date, or proposed date to open is October 1st. Straub loses around $1 million every month the venue stays closed. He made the comment that if the permits aren’t approved by next month he may as well just walk away from the property
