As a regular exhibitors, Karo use the AGE show to launch new products, catch-up with existing clients, generate new business and access market trends.

Established 30 years ago, Karo is a manufacturer of seating products for the gaming industry with a customer base that includes clubs, pubs, hotels and casinos spread across five continents.

“Since opening our Australian office in July 2004, we have exhibited every year at the Australian Gaming Expo (AGE)”, said Mike Karle, Director of Karo Australia. “We firmly believe that the AGE is the premier gaming expo in Australasia and as such it the cornerstone of our annual marketing plan.”

“During the course of the past year or two, we have found that gaming venue operators have realised that ergonomically comfortable gaming stools are no longer ‘nice to have’, but essential for their long-term viability,” continued Karle.

“In years gone by, gaming rooms often had old uncomfortable stools or in some cases, no stools at all”.

“Judging purely by the number of visitors to our stand and their request for on-site product demonstrations and quotes, we feel that the AGE has, yet again, exceeded our expectations. Will we be back with our gaming stools in 2017…you can bet on it!,” said Karle.

The company released a statement on its participation at the AGE event:

"Times have changed and patrons now demand to be comfortable. This has resulted a dramatic shift towards ergonomically designed VIP-type gaming stools that incorporate a high backrest with an integral lumbar support, a handle, and an EZI-GLIDE base for improved manoeuvrability. While venue operators have acknowledged this paradigm shift and are prepared to purchase such stools, they will only do so if the product can withstand the rigours of a typical gaming floor and deliver 7-10 years of trouble-free service.
