“Having exhibited our new robots in G2E Macau earlier this year we knew there would be casino interest,” said Sinny Thio, Marketing Manager for Lamson. “However, the interest from the broader Gaming and Club industry took us by surprise.”
Lamson explained the company's robots deliver cards/chips/cash across the trading floor with different degrees of security. Likewise the robots can deliver Room Service items from Kitchen or back of house into lifts and all the way to guest rooms. Although robots and this level of automation are new to the Australian market, they are commonplace in Europe and North America.
In a press statement, Lamson said complimenting the new technology products Lamson promoted the traditional cash handling and cash management machines as well as its latest MIMO (Money In Money Out) Cash Recycler.
"This cash recycling solution has over 2,000 units internationally and attracted great interest at AGE 2016. There are many US Casino reference sites as MIMO advocates," the statement said.
Lamson has been present at Australian casinos since the first patent was achieved with Jupiters casino in 1997.
The Lamson C.A.S.T. (Casino Automated Secure Transfer) utilises the pneumatic tube transfer process coupled with a unique security “drop box” and RFID technology to deliver Cash and Chips throughout the entire casino complex. From Count Room to Change Kiosk to V.I.P. area to gaming floor - all day every day 24/7.
C.A.S.T. is employed in Macau with Crown-Melco (3 sites), Galaxy, MGM, Wynn as well as Genting casinos in Kuala Lumpur and casinos in Manila. Lamson has technical and sales staff to assist in all Australian capital cities as well as Malaysia, Macau and USA.
