The 2016 Australasian Gaming Expo (AGE) concluded with 6,813 visitors attending over the three days, a new record for attendance. This year was the 27th AGE, having been held annually since 1990.

“We believe that the success of the show reflects the strength of the hospitality and gaming industry in Australia,” said Ross Ferrar, CEO of the Gaming Technologies Association who hosts the AGE. “The event continues to grow and we acknowledge the exhibitors and visitors for their contribution,” he said.

This year’s Expo has also marked the end of an era, as it departs the temporary venue that has housed it for the last three years.

The new International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney is nearing completion and the 2017 Australasian Gaming Expo will move to its new location within ICC Sydney in August 2017.

“We thank venue management and staff, and we will remember the Glebe Island venue fondly”, said Ferrar.

“We also applaud the courage and commitment of the NSW State Government for its investment in this temporary venue, which certainly contributed in a major way to the sustainability of the Australasian Gaming Expo - and no doubt, the exhibition industry generally - during what could have been an extremely difficult 3 years.”

Almost 100 exhibitors covering two-thirds of the exhibition floor have already committed to exhibit at the Australasian Gaming Expo on 15-17 August 2017. The new event website is already operational at www.austgamingexpo.com and plans are extremely advanced for an even bigger and better event.
