Kenya committee to address gambling industry regulation
The members are expected to table a report of their findings and recommendations in 14 days.
They are MPs Kanini Kega (Kieni), Thomas Mwadeghu (Wundanyi), Samuel Gichigi (Kipipiri), Samuel Chepkonga (Ainabkoi) and Benjamin Langat (Ainamoi). Kega will serve as vice chairman.
Others are Soipan Tuya (Narok woman representative), Dorcas Kedogo (Vihiga woman representative), Daniel Maanzo (Makueni) and Mary Keraa (Kisii woman representative).

This comes after Kenya Film Classification Board boss Ezekiel Mutua raised concerns over increased betting and gambling in the media.
He said a law banning betting and gambling advertisements during watershed hours will come into force.
Mutua said Kenyans must work hard and not be encouraged to gamble.
He said the board was consulting the Betting Control and Licensing Board to ensure games are regulated.
