Rank Group Plc has appointed UK CS veteran Liam Smith as Director of Customer Contact.

Smith, who joins the casino operator from customer service outsourcing specialist Contact Center Managed Services, will report directly to Darren Moffett Rank’s Director of Customer Operations.

Rank said in a statement that Smith would be tasked with leading the opening and managing a new center of customer excellence in Sheffield, which will employ over 60 people.

“I am delighted to be joining a company that is as passionate about delivering excellent customer service as I am. I have every confidence that our new Customer Services hub will enable Rank to deliver a key point of competitive differentiation and that we will be able to use it to improve levels of customer satisfaction as well as driving enhanced business performance,” Smith said.
