Paul Turner has been named as head of Sporting Index, promoted to the newly created role from his post as Marketing Director for the London-based spread-betting firm.

Turner will report directly to Sporting Index group CEO Simon Trim, who took over from outgoing chief executive Warren Murphy in March.

“I am very excited to be leading the Sporting Index brand into its next phase of growth, alongside Simon and the leadership team,” said Turner.

“Sporting Index is in a very strong position and initiatives such as adding live casino and a full fixed-odds casino to our offering in March this year is only the beginning. I look forward to building upon the phenomenal strength the brand has built up over the past two decades,” he remarked.

Trim added: “Paul’s appointment is a real milestone for the company and signals our commitment to growing the brand within the industry. Paul brings a wealth of knowledge from his many years in various marketing roles and I’ve witnessed first-hand his ability to drive the brand during his three years with us so far.”
