Stephen Thornton has been appointed to the board of gambling watchdog, Senet Group, as an Independent Director.
Stephen Thornton has had a distinguished career in the health sector including as executive director, CEO and latterly as non-executive director of major NHS and related healthcare delivery and regulatory organizations.
Richard Flint, CEO of Sky Betting & Gaming, which is one of the UK’s leading independent online bookmakers, has also joined the board.
Wanda Goldwag, Chair of Senet Group, said: “It is really valuable to have someone with Stephen’s strong health sector and operational background join the board at this time to help us in our endeavour to reduce gambling-related harm. I am also delighted that someone who represents online-only gambling is joining the board as we seek to promote on-line codes of conduct.”
