Jack Cleveland Casino has opened its doors around 4:40 p.m. Wednesday.

The classy gold and cream decor, illuminated by glittering chandeliers in the former Horseshoe Casino Cleveland remain, but Jack represents an edgy and new culture, said casino officials.

Horseshoe, which had been affiliated with Caesar's Entertainment Corp., is now owned by Jack Entertainment, formerly Rock Gaming.

The casino was closed for 40 hours. The transition included replacing 1,800 pairs of dice, 30,000 decks of cards and 400,000 chips. The changeover included replacing hundreds of signs, redesigning 125 table games and training 1,500 employees.

In addition, the company transitioned thousands of gamblers to its new player loyalty program, ClubJACK, which provides dining, travel and event perks.

The Jack brand "represents the company's progressive spirit, pursuit of excellence through innovation and desire to deliver guests with unexpected, delightful experiences 365 days a year," the company said.

"Jack Cleveland will embrace the Jack attitude of living in the moment, for the moment," Mark Dunkeson, Jack Entertainment president and chief operating officer, said in a statement.

The casino has promotions throughout the month, including prizes, cars, free play and trips.
