On course to be a sell-out event, the speaker line-up includes Federal Deputy Elmar Nascimento (President of the Special Commission for the Regulation of Gaming in Brazil from the House of Representatives), alongside representatives of Ministry of Sports, Brazilian Texas Hold’em Confederation (CBTH), Caesars Entertainment Corporation, PMU, International Center for Gaming Regulation, Française des Jeux, COAF, Brazilian Game Institute and Caixa Economica Federal.
Members will also attend from the Chamber of Deputies, which is already preparing a gambling bill of its own having formed a special committee last year to way up potential regulatory models.
Brasilian Gaming Congress 2016 will build on the success of the inaugural event three years ago and Clarion’s continued relationship with Brazilian stakeholders, including CAIXA, SEAE and state lotteries.
The event comes at a key time for the sector in Brazil, for a long time seen as one of the global gambling industry’s “sleeping giants”.
Event director Rory Credland commented, “We’re very excited by the response attracted by BgC, which is very much mirroring the state of the market as it once again attracts the attention as a major opportunity for casino and online operators, as well as gambling suppliers.
“The conference comes at perfect time given how regulatory issues will remain high on the political agenda.”
