Storm Gaming Technology has announced its latest brand licensing partnership. The UK-based developer and manufacturer has entered into agreement with the UK’s leading commercial television corporation, ITV, to secure the gaming content development rights to huge TV game show, The Chase.

This high profile deal covers all genres of retail/offline pay-to-play gaming, including both Cat C AWP and SWP content.

Richard Sheldon, Managing Director of Storm Gaming, confirmed the diversity of opportunities that this important deal offers: “The Chase is a superb brand and the start of what we are confident will be a great relationship with ITV. We will be producing both analogue and video-based AWP and gaming products, aimed at a range of market sectors. In addition, we have secured the SWP rights with a definite idea in mind. The show format provides great synergies for content development and between three and five million viewers enjoy the show every day in the UK, so the power and popularity of the brand is totally proven.”

The Chase is one of ITV’s most successful ever daytime shows. It was voted Best Daytime Show at this year’s National Television Awards, having previously been nominated three times, and has been franchised to nine further countries, including the US and Australia, where Mark ‘The Beast’ Labbett, one of the UK ‘chasers’ since the very first series, fills the same role in both versions.

Having already secured brand licensing agreements for the MotoGP racing series and the iconic Carry On movie franchise, Storm Gaming Technology, this latest partnership agreement further underlines the company’s intent to become a major force in the content provision arena.
