A special ceremony featuring a number of local dignitaries and politicians will be held today to officially unveil the 150,000 sq ft expansion of the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.

First announced in 2014, the $164 million facelift for the Pennsylvania property operated by Rush Street Gaming has more than doubled the venue’s total size to 260,000 sq ft.

Alongside its 1,891 slots and 103 table games, the Delaware Avenue casino now additionally features the industry-first Poker Night In America room offering high-stakes cash games

An expanded gaming floor, new covered parking garage and multi-purpose events center have been joined by a host of restaurants including branches of Geno’s Steaks, Tacconelli’s Pizzeria and Hugo’s Frog Bar and Chop House.

Alongside its 1,891 slots and 103 table games, the Delaware Avenue casino now additionally features the industry-first Poker Night In America room offering high-stakes cash games. This 6,000 sq ft space contains 28 poker tables as well as built-in charging facilities for every one of its 252 seats.

The new-look SugarHouse Casino moreover offers a site-specific urban light mural on its seven-story garage from East Falls artist Lyn Godley that has been designed to represent the intersection of urban design, art and technology.

“Lyn Godley has conceived a beautiful and engaging contribution to the visual landscape,” said Margot Berg, Public Art Director for Philadelphia’s Office Of Arts, Culture And The Creative Economy. “We welcome SugarHouse Casino’s unique contribution of color, light and technology to our city’s renowned public art collection.”
