Horseshoe Casino Cleveland will close for 40 hours beginning Tuesday, May 10, to transition to Jack Cleveland Casino.

The closing, from 11:59 p.m. May 9 to 4 p.m. May 11 will allow officials to transfer the internal gaming and other systems from Caesar's Entertainment to Jack Entertainment, formerly Rock Gaming.

It includes the introduction of the ClubJACK player loyalty program. Jack Entertainment recently announced the rebranding of the Cleveland casino, Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati and ThistleDown Racino.

The transformation to what will be commonly known as Jack Casino began April 15 as outdoor signs were removed.

ThistleDown became Jack Thistledown on March 9 after it was closed for 28 hours. The downtown casino is much larger and includes gaming tables, plus plenty of horseshoe-related decorations. Chips, cards and table covers will carry the new logo.

The casino attempted to schedule the closing at a time when the Cleveland Cavaliers and Indians would be out of town.

The Cavaliers will play in Atlanta on May 8 but would play the fifth game of the semifinals, if needed, at home on May 10. The Indians will be out of town May 9-11.

Officials said state-of-the-art technology and slot products to heighten the gaming experience will be added gradually.

Jack Entertainment has its own four-level rewards program, ClubJACK, that will allow players to accumulate points toward comps and free play.

The rewards program will replace Caesars' Total Rewards program, which let customers earn discounts and other incentives at more than 40 resorts and casinos around the world.

The Total Rewards credits will be given an equivalent value in ClubJACK. Total Rewards tier status and credits will continue to be honored at all Caesars-owned and -operated properties.

That program's 40 million members include 80,000 who lived within 50 miles of the Cleveland casino when it opened in May 2012.
