As Detroit marks the 20th anniversary of voters approving casino gaming in the state, the American Gaming Association (AGA) and Detroit’s three casinos will come together to discuss the role of the gaming industry in the city’s resurgence at a roundtable event at MGM Grand Detroit on Wednesday, May 4 at 10 a.m. EDT.

Industry leaders will be joined by key local officials and members of the community for a conversation about gaming’s role in the city’s recovery through significant tax revenues and the creation of thousands of good jobs for city residents. The event will be streamed live on AGA’s Facebook page.

This event is part of AGA’s Get to Know Gaming campaign to educate communities across the country about the important role the industry plays on a local level. To date, the AGA has hosted similar events in Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, Nevada and Pennsylvania. Across 40 states, casino gaming is a $240 billion industry that supports 1.7 million jobs and generates $38 billion in tax revenues.
