A brand new online tournament offering called Mountain Series was launched Thursday by PokerStars.com, an Amaya Inc. brand.
The 10-event tournament series, which takes place from April 7-10, features more than $4 million in guaranteed prize money and progressive buy-ins that range from $11 to $2,100.
Each of the 10 tournaments is named after a famous mountain – from Sugarloaf (Brazil) to Everest (Nepal & China) – and the Main
Event will be a $2,100 buy-in with a guaranteed prize pool of at least $1.5 million. Satellites are running now.
"Mountain Series looks like a great new addition to the PokerStars online festival schedule," said Team PokerStars Pro Online member Jaime Staples. "The huge variety of buy-in levels means players at all stakes can participate, and I can't wait to get involved, too, by playing and Twitch-streaming several events."
