Konami’s new Concerto KP3+ platform games were a showcase feature at the 31st Annual National Indian Gaming Association (NIGA) Tradeshow & Convention last week in Phoenix.

Konami Gaming presented a collection of never-before-seen games for its new Concerto cabinet, including an exciting standalone progressive game called Jackpot Ball with creative arcade-style animation in the style of its popular Jackpot Streams game. Guests at NIGA 2016 also experienced the world’s first Frogger themed slots, featuring a retro-pixelated crossing course bonus round with a progressive jackpot chance. Konami’s SYNKROS casino management system also received strong attention, and casino professionals and executives from across Indian Country took time to see and explore the latest systems technology through Konami’s comprehensive SYNKROS demo environment.

Concerto

Konami’s new video slot cabinet: Concerto continues to arrive at properties across the U.S. and abroad with exceptional momentum. Developed with intent focus on customer experience and entertainment value, this video upright cabinet combines top-tier technology for operators to deliver next generation gaming content that attracts patrons from every angle. Its signature holographic side lighting serves as one of Concerto’s most striking features. Each game has custom-designed digital elements that visually interact, from the dual 27” high-definition touchscreen monitors to the 19.5” video topper, and down through the proprietary new DynamicDash™ button panel—all of which is made possible by Konami’s new KP3+ platform. Concerto additionally supports compatibility with KP3 platform proven performers such as Dragon’s Law™ and China Shores™.

Wonder Rose

Wonder Rose is Konami’s new Concerto KP3+ platform game with an enchanted garden theme and a picturesque dual-screen attract mode. This 5-reel Xtra Reward® game includes a free game feature that allows players to select different combinations of free games and bonus multipliers, up to 30x.

Lamp of Destiny

Another new Xtra Reward game available for Concerto is called Lamp of Destiny. This 5-reel game features mystical genie as its hero character. When players enter the free game feature, the genie presents three different magic lamps for players to choose from—one secretly holding a generous Concerto, Wonder Rose 2-award of Super Free Games with up to 100x multipliers.

Freya’s Magic

Konami’s newest standard 5-reel game for Concerto is called Freya’s Magic. It is loosely based on the Norse mythological goddess of love, gold, and beauty, and in this game that holds her name, she is depicted with piercing green eyes and flowing golden locks that shimmer in the game’s dual screen attract mode. Throughout game play, any fully appearing wild Freya symbols are upgraded to 2x or 3x multipliers for corresponding line wins.

Burning Wolf

Burning Wolf is first in an all new ULTRA REELS 972 WAYS™ game series. Similar to ULTRA REELS, it awards pays based on left-to-right adjacent symbols, but reels 4 and 5 provide additional symbols beyond the 3-symbol height frame for more possible winning combinations. During the free games, reels 4 and 5 fuse together to display gigantic symbols, to which reel 1 is synchronized with the same symbols.

Jackpot Ball (SAP)

One of the most high-profile new Concerto releases at this year’s show is a 4-level standalone progressive game called Jackpot Ball, with an iconic arcade-style animation effect in the spirit of Konami’s popular Jackpot Streams™. In this mystery-trigger progressive game, players watch an animated round ball launch into the upper screen and bounce around pinball-style spinners, bumpers, and targets to achieve a credit award or advance to the jackpot round on the lower screen.

Wheel of the Imperial Eggs (SAP)

Another of Konami’s first KP3+ standalone progressive games is both a wheel-based and a pick ‘em style bonus. Wheel of the Imperial Eggs is a mystery trigger 3-level progressive with unique art styles reflecting an early 20th century Slavic tradition of richly ornamented jeweled eggs associated with Easter. Players are awarded 3 picks at the start of the feature, to try to reveal a wheel spin jackpot chance.

Frogger

This year’s NIGA show came in direct anticipation of Frogger’s market release on Konami’s Podium Monument™ cabinet. The launch of Frogger signifies a landmark IP release from Konami Digital Entertainment’s iconic arcade legacy to its casino gambling sector. Two debut game themes were shown, each with a 4-level standalone progressive. Both themes feature classic Konami game mechanics such as Action Stacked Symbols and Xtra Reward.

Great City Wilds

Great City Wilds is one of two series debut themes. During the random Frogger Bonus, arcade-animated tractors push away the reels, revealing a classic Frogger crossing course. Three “lives” are awarded and the player has a chance to watch the frog character hop its way to increasing bonus awards across the lower screen and up into the tall top box.

Woodland Wilds

Similar to Great City Wilds, Woodland Wilds also includes a classic Frogger rendition during the bonus game, but its primary character is a bedazzled girl frog. Players can win up to 20 free games, where 2 additional reel sets are added on the top screen. Any full-reel wild symbols appearing on the upper-most set of reels are copied across the rest of the upper screen.

Konami’s Rapid Revolver video-mechanical hybrid machine is quickly becoming a tour de force at casinos across the globe and a must-have for operators. In lieu of the upper LCD screen, Rapid Revolver takes a unique spin on classic mechanical reels by mounting six stacked and vertically-mounted drums on its oversized top box, surrounded by synchronized high-impact sound and lighting.

New to this year’s NIGA show was a custom game called Prophetess of Fortune™, as well as a beautifully-designed standalone progressive that can be combined with most any KP3 base game on the lower screen.

Lucky Sticks (SAP)

Lucky Sticks™ is Konami’s first standalone progressive game for Rapid Revolver that can be combined with most any KP3 base game on the lower screen, such as Riches with Daikoku™, Lotus Land™, and China Shores™. It is a mystery trigger bonus that transports the player to an animated fortune telling game reminiscent of the Chinese Kau Cim, whereby engraved sticks are selected from a tall
bucket to reveal hidden messages. Lower video reels activate the upper mechanical drums and assign random multipliers for unforgettable wins.

Prophetess of Fortune

Prophetess of Fortune™ is a new Rapid Revolver™ game that showcases brilliant Asian art styles. Similar to previous releases Rising Fire Dragon™ and Northern Treasure™, Prophetess of Fortune uses the lighted upper drums for highentertainment and effect in the bonus feature but adds a new multiplier mechanic that boosts wins up to 100x. It also includes a free game feature and a mystery trigger 2-level standalone progressive. Konami’s classic Podium® cabinet, in upright and slant design, continues to delight and entertain casino audiences worldwide with exciting new game series and a continuous library of fresh themes and progressives. Recognized for reliability and performance, Podium is a favorite among players and operators alike.

Magnifying Magic

Guests to this year’s NIGA were impressed by the vanishing symbols feature found in a new MultipleLines 4-5-5-5-4® theme called Magnifying Magic. During the free games, a symbol is removed (or “vanishes”) from the reel strips before each spin, starting with the lower value symbols and increasing to higher value symbols with the possibility of upgrading the reels to become all wild symbols. In addition, full-reel wild symbols appearing on the fifth reel add an additional free game to provide the player with extra opportunities to achieve the greatest outcome of this bonus effect.

Fabulous Goddess

Another important KP3 theme that was prominently displayed during NIGA was an ULTRA REELS™ game called Fabulous Goddess. It features a unique animation effect in which the game symbols rush toward the player in a 3D stampede motion. This comes to life during the free games with non-winning symbols dimmed and winning symbols brightly highlighted to attract the player’s attention
to potential win combinations.

Blossoming Winnings

Konami takes a new spin on a popular Xtra Reward animation feature in the newly released Blossoming Winnings™. In the upper screen, an elegant goddess dressed in flowing garments carries a spinning flower blossom hovered above the palm of her hand. Similar to proven performers like Dragon’s Law, she will randomly scatter additional flower wild symbols to the reel strips throughout game play for extra wins.

Wheel Boost (SAP)

Wheel Boost is Konami’s new 4-level standalone progressive that allows the player to boost their jackpot chance by randomly overturning the credit prize wedges of a traditional wheel spin game to reveal additional “JACKPOT” chance awards. Players are awarded 3 spins at the start of this mystery-trigger progressive and by landing on the JACKPOT wedge, they can advance to a second prize wheel to determine a mini, mega, major, or maxi award.

Jumbo Wheel of Winning (SAP) Jumbo Wheel of Winning is a mystery-trigger, 2-level standalone progressive event that spins a large 3D prize wheel across both screens for the chance at a credit prize or progressive jackpot. After each spin, winners are given the
option to go double-or-nothing with their allotted prize, with true 50/50 odds of success.

Riches Choice (SAP)

Konami’s new Riches Choice™ standalone progressive is a 4-level mystery trigger game with three different rounds of potential wins. Throughout each round, players unlock different treasure chests to try to match two corresponding progressive and credit prize symbols. Anytime players locate two multi-colored “NEXT ROUND” symbols, they are advanced to the next round with higher progressive amounts.

Fiery Fortune (SAP)

Fiery Fortune™ is Konami’s new 2-level standalone progressive with a wheel spin bonus where all prize wedges carry an equal probability. As the prize wheel comes down to the power screen, players first spin for a bonus prize amount or progressive chance, and then spin again to determine mini or maxi. As with all Podium SAP’s, Fiery Fortune is compatible with any KP3 base game that doesn’t use the upper top box.

Brothers of Fortune Spinning Winnings (SAP + LAP)

After wide-spread acclaim across the Asian Pacific region, Brothers of Fortune™ linked progressive game now brings its memorable brother characters to North America with a new domestic version titled Brothers of Fortune Spinning Winnings™. This mystery-trigger 4-level progressive includes uniquely-themed art styles and memorable gameplay for high-performance entertainment. The bottom
two progressive levels are standalone, and the top two awards are linked. During the feature event, players are given three free spins on a giant prize wheel to determine either a credit prize or progressive jackpot chance—all to the delight of the game’s endearing red and blue brother characters, providing guidance and comic reaction along the way.

With its colossal sound, 360-degree attract lighting, and huge 32” dual high-definition LCD display, Konami’s big-screen Podium Goliath™ is populating more floor space than ever at casinos worldwide. At NIGA 2016, Goliath showcased some of Konami’s most eye-catching games with stunning art elements and animated effects.

China Shores Jackpot

Konami is taking its popular China Shores game to a new level of excitement by adding an all-new custom progressive game on top of the iconic player favorite. During the mysterytrigger progressive bonus, players discover a roulette wheel style spin animation in the upper screen that offers the chance at one of four progressive jackpots. China Shores Jackpot also includes a Balance of Fortune feature that allows players to select a smaller volume of Super Free Games with 8x, 12x, and 20x random multipliers, or a higher
volume of free games with a 2x multiplier. Konami’s tall-top Podium Monument™ cabinet showcased an exclusive new Monument theme called Glittering Stacks™. Podium Monument continues to add exciting new custom themes and a variety of standalone progressives that mix excellently with most any KP3 video base game on the lower screen. Each Monument game is accompanied by an internally-lit, eye-catching custom bezel to help accent and enhance the cabinet’s 32” vertically-mounted upper LCD.

Glittering Stacks: Wild Stack Fever

Konami’s newest custom series for Podium Monument is Glittering Stacks™, including Wild Stack Fever. Characterized by a classic Vegas luxury theme—complete with neon lights and pink Cadillacs—Glittering Stacks: Wild Stack Fever is an Xtra Reward game with an expanding wild symbols feature. It also includes a 2-level standalone progressive with must-hit range displays for those jurisdictions that allow.

Glittering Stacks: Great Wilds Spinnin’

Similar to Wild Stack Fever, Glittering Stacks Great Wilds Spinnin’ also exemplifies iconic Vegas glamour in its art design and animation. Players can win up to 20 free games, which activates an additional reel set across Podium Monument’s upper top box. Additionally, the expanding wild feature is guaranteed to occur at least once during the free games.

Konami’s SYNKROS™ casino management system brought a number of important new updates and tools to NIGA 2016.
Guests from across North America were able to test and explore a variety of SYNKROS technology through Konami’s comprehensive systems demo environment, including SYNKiosk™, multi-game True Time Tournaments™, various casino mobile applications, and more.

SYNKiosk–Mobile

Konami’s SYNKROS is ushering a new wave of casino loyalty kiosking functions to more channels and devices than ever before with its acclaimed SYNKiosk™. This year in Phoenix, Konami showcased the flexibility and convenience of its SYNKiosk–Mobile product. Players can access realtime, comprehensive loyalty program updates and benefits directly on their personal mobile device and complete targeted action like play promotional games, earn bonuses, update account information, and more. Konami’s SYNKiosk continues to challenge standing perceptions of kiosks by delivering a wealth of patron account services and benefits to a spectrum of connected devices for greater customer convenience, operational efficiency, game performance, and
marketing participation.

True-Time Tournaments: Player On-demand Multigame

Player on-demand multi-game tournaments are the newest enhancement to SYNKROS True-Time Tournaments™.
When redeeming an on-demand tournament entry at any enabled video slot machine, carded players have the option to choose from an array of game themes to help keep tournament promotions fresh and unique. Players are given a menu of game theme options when claiming their tournament entries, empowering them with an additional element of control and excitement when they achieve
targeted sales and marketing rewards at the property. Operators have full access to Konami’s suite of on-demand tournament themes, such as Midway Madness™, Hero Collection™, Fruit Funds™, Romancing the Reels™, and more.

SerialSYNK

For casino environments with legacy serial networks, Konami’s SerialSYNK™ allows operators to install SYNKROS’ Ethernet-based casino management system for near high-speed functionality without rewiring. This functionality appropriately equips casinos with greater flexibility in planning and budgeting for vital infrastructure investments, while delivering more robust performance floorwide.
