Copag's RFID cards were highlighted at the company's booth during last month's ICE. Fabiano Veiga talked about the products displayed at the London exhibition, as well as about the new import policies in Argentina.

What products were more attractive for visitors at Copag booth in ICE?

We presented our plastic cards and our cardboard cards for casinos, as well as the RFID cards, a new product with state-of-the-art technology, which can be acquired by casinos with a broadcasting system.

Copag has a solid presence in Latin America. What is the situation in Europe?

Several big groups of European casinos are our customers. However, we want to grow and increase our market share, and I think we have the potential to achieve it because we are very competitive and we offer top-quality products.

What are the most significant opportunities you're seeing in Europe?

England, Spain, Greece and several other countries are important for us.

You're a Brazilian company, and as you sure know Brazil is likely to legalize gambling activities this year. How are you living this process and what are your predictions?

We are very optimistic with regards to the Latin American market in general. Specifically talking about Brazil, we don’t know if the market will be opened up or not. It is a political process. Many say “yes”, but others say “no”. In the end, we don’t know. We have not taken a stance on the issue. The most important things for Copag are those markets where we can export.

Argentina has been an important market for Copag for a long time. But in recent years, government's import policies made it difficult for companies to invest in the country. Is the scenario likely to change in the times ahead?

Of course. Argentina is fundamental in our strategy. We have products in several casinos and now- with new regulation- we expect that we will expand our product offering in this market.
