Thunder Valley Casino Resort announces hotel expansion plans

The project will include a complete renovation of its existing 297 rooms within the 17-story tower.

"Some of the best design and construction companies in the business have been selected to make it happen, and we can't wait for the day when our guests see the remarkable design features in store for them."

Clayton said the interior project will take about 18 months to complete, while creating more than a hundred construction jobs in the area. "We're pleased to play a prominent role in the regional economy by creating good-paying jobs," said Clayton.
After a highly competitive RFP process, Thunder Valley selected two companies with strong reputations in the hospitality industry to oversee the project. Architectural and interior design services were developed by the globally respected firm YWS, which has designed “inspired leisure” destination projects from Las Vegas to New Zealand, including Hakkasan at MGM Grand, the Crown Sri Lanka resort and SkyCity Auckland. Roseville-based Flint Builders will oversee the build-out process. Flint received the Design-Build Institute of America “Project of the Year” award three times in the last five years. They have previously performed work for Thunder Valley, including the recent High Steaks Steakhouse outside entry.

The luxury room and suite expansion plus renovation of existing rooms are scheduled to take place during non-peak periods with minimal guest interruption.

In keeping with its AAA Four Diamond resort designation, rooms and luxury suites will be state-of-the art, including features such as oversized marble bathrooms with European spa showers, plush robes and bed linens, hi-def TVs, in-room dining services and much more.
