What products did you introduce at ICE and what was the feedback you got from attendees?
There was plenty to choose from: a new slot machine range, a brand new live roulette wheel by Alfastreet, with special LED lights system, to make a bigger impact on the players; a phone-booth shaped “Alibi box”; the established attraction in the shape of the Royal Derby, combined with ultra versatile WIKY single terminals and what was probably the most attractive machine of the show, the Alfastreet “Wet race”, a mechanical boat racing game, which was full for the entire duration of the show. The feedback was very positive, confirming we are on the right path with our development and the current quality levels of our products.
Who is the player of the future and how would you describe him? How are you adapting your product offering to cater to this new type of player?
We believe that the player of the future is essentially the same as always, enjoying the thrill and excitement of a well designed and engineered game. The difference is in the pursuit of quality, expectancy of highest level of service overall and better access to the gaming solutions at all times. Alfastreet products already offer all of the above, with the addition of a brand new online/mobile gaming solution that is being implemented as we speak.
Mobile and online gaming, once synonymous with innovation, have become common currency. What new ways of innovating will the industry see in the coming years?
It's a tough question to answer, since there are many attempts to bring something radically new to the table, but they seem to fade away eventually. Gamblers are pretty much creatures of habit and they generally don't respond to revolutions. A big part of Alfastreet's success is that we constantly strive to evolve our product line, with highest regard to the feeling that a live game provides. Apart from a much better accessibility of the gaming options we don't foresee significant changes.
Apart from a strong presence of both eSports and omni-channel gaming, what were the highlights of ICE 2016?
Not many to be honest, which in many ways confirms what we talked about earlier. Of course everybody, brought their best game to the show, with shiny stands and newest editions, but if had to choose a product that really stood out I'd have to remain within our stand: it was the “Wet race” hands down...
How do you assess your participation in the 2016 edition of ICE?
Very positive indeed. We had a great bit of fun, meeting our friends and partners, the customers responded to our newest products with substantial orders and we confirmed that our efforts are headed in the right direction. What else could you wish for?
