Online gaming revenue amounted to USD 14.6M

New Jersey reports online gaming revenue record

New Jersey was able to set a new monthly record for online gaming revenue in January, according to figures released by the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (NJDGE). But Atlantic City's eight casinos took in USD 190.1M last month, a decrease of 3.8% compared to January 2015.

Internet Gaming Win was $14.6 million in January compared to $11.6 million in the prior period, reflecting an increase of 26.5%. Total Gaming Win for the month was $190.1 million compared to $197.6 million in Total Gaming Win for January 2015, reflecting a 3.8% decrease.

Table games reported revenue down 13.1% to $52.8 million, while slot machine win also dropped 2.1% to $122.9 million.

Overall casino win for the month dropped 5.6% year-on-year to $175.5 million.

For the month of January 2016, total gaming taxes were $15.0 million. Total gaming taxes reflect 8% of taxable casino gross revenue and 15% of Internet gaming gross revenue. In addition, the casino industry incurred $2.6 million in reinvestment obligations with the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, which reflects 1.25% of casino gross revenue and 2.5% of Internet gaming gross revenue.
