Former Unibet online casino chief and industry veteran Adam Ruffett has left Unibet after a five year tenure to take over similar responsibilities at Sun Bets, the new UK-facing online gambling company planned by Aussie bookmaker Tabcorp and the British newspaper group News UK as part of a ten-year partnership agreement.
The formal launch of the operation as a major addition to The Sun’s online casino is scheduled for later this year.
Aside from his five years of service with Unibet, Ruffett has managerial experience with major industry companies like Sportingbet, Eurobet and Coral. In his new position he will join fellow industry veteran David Blackman – former md of Betfair Malta – who is head of operations at Sun Bets.
Tabcorp will power and operate Sun Bets, aided by the marketing and publicity activity of News UK.
