Yogonet walked through the 15 halls available at the ExCel Center, where more than 500 exhibitors from 62 different nations are showcasing their product offerings, and saw a strong presence of both well-known gaming giants and start-ups. The common denominator amongst all of them was, of course, Innovation. Some of the key trends at this year's ICE are: virtual reality games, fantasy sports, remote betting and mobile gaming.
One of the highlights of day one of ICE 2016 was the increased presence of companies related to the Sports Betting, Sports Book and Sports Data activities. Tablets and mobile devices, once synonyms of innovation, have become common currency in today's world.
Grand opening ceremony
The opening ceremony was attended by show organizers alongside Eurocoin, one of the 16 pioneer organizations at the inaugural ICE and first time exhibitor Gamevy, in the inaugural ribbon cutting on the main boulevard of London’s ExCel Center.
Tom Veitch, the founder of Eurocoin and Helen Walton, co-founder and Marketing Director of Gamevy, were joined by key representatives for Clarion and ICE Totally Gaming to launch the 2016 edition of the largest and most comprehensive business event in world gaming.
Kate Chambers, who has overseen the recent development of the ICE brand, including its successful relocation to the ExCeL Centre, said: "I was delighted to have both Tom Veitch and Helen Walton officially open the 2016 edition of ICE. Both Eurocoin and Gamevy have an infectious 'can do' philosophy and in so many ways epitomise the entrepreneurial spirit and energy which is in the DNA of gaming. On behalf of the ICE team I wish all of our 529 exhibitors from 62 nations another successful ICE and of course, a successful 2016."
From casinos, lotteries and bingos to sports betting and remote gambling, ICE Totally Gaming has it all.
