The traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony marked today the formal opening of the 2016 edition of ICE Totally Gaming, that is taking place in London on February 2 - 4. The British capital is once again the center of international attention, with 510 companies from 62 nations exhibiting at the trade show.

Just like every year, the international exhibition opened its doors this morning with visitors flocking to see the latest innovations in gaming. After a strong marketing campaign, organizers are preparing to welcome executives from all over the world.

Kate Chambers, who has directed the development of ICE at ExCeL said: "An important part of our decision to make ExCeL the new home for ICE in 2013 was based on the ability the venue provides to grow and develop the world's most important gaming expo within a modern business environment.”

Chambers added, “ICE represents the very best shop window for the sector and when regulators walk the aisles at ExCeL they will see a mature, dynamic and socially responsible industry.”

The London show will feature a total of 119 companies making their first ever appearance, a figure that represents 23% of the Gaming Technopolis. According to Marketing Director Jo Mayer, it is an important feature of the ICE success story and another stand-out reason to attend.

“Exhibitors choose ICE to debut never-before-seen products,” Chambers commented, adding, “The journey stakeholders make to Gaming's Technopolis will be their most productive and successful of the year.”

Yesterday, Yogonet had the chance to walk through the 15 halls available at the ExCel Center. One couldn't help but marvel at both the infrastructure and investment in products the companies have made.

As well as providing an insight to the latest product innovations and services, ICE is one of the biggest learning and knowledge-exchange events in world gaming delivering 70 hours of learning opportunities from 200 thought leaders drawn from both within and outside the international gaming community.

“Our 2016 program opened yesterday with the International Casino Conference (ICC), which has been organized in partnership with the European Casino Association (ECA),” Chambers commented.

Chambers believes that the strength of ICE lies in its capacity to combine the very best of land-based and online gaming. "ICE brings together both the online and the offline gaming worlds in a way that no other event does," she concluded.

For those attending the event: Clarion has launched an app that enables visitors to access the full event schedule, browse the latest product launches, receive information on all of the speakers taking part in the ICE Conference and Seminar program, as well as develop a personal event planner to remind them of appointments and business meetings. The app is available on iTunes App Store and the Google Play Store.
