Last year casinos in Macau saw revenues hit $28.85 billion with 18 months of consecutive declines in revenues.
However, Aaron Fischer, CLSA’s regional head of consumer and gaming research said: “The first half will still be quite difficult, and we expect general gaming revenues to be down around 20 per cent. But as we move towards the end of the year, it will improve somewhat and in the second half of the year we expect positive growth.”
The increase Mr Fischer is predicting for Macau comes from the opening of new casino resorts for 2016. Currently many other financial analyst’s are holding off on the annual predictions.
