An improved economic situation and changes in its games have helped the Spanish State Lottery (Loterías y Apuestas del Estado) to generate a total turnover in 2015 of €8,780 million, representing an increase of 3.95% compared to the previous year.

A spokesperson for the State Lottery commented: “Changes in the awards programs have had a positive effect, especially with regard to Thursday's weekly draw." The company also said that its advertising campaign for last year's Christmas lottery had been particularly successful.
