SafeCharge has signed a strategic partnership with South East Asia-focused payments company 2C2P.

The partnership is designed to boost SafeCharge's product offering to 2C2P merchants, which primarily comprise travel businesses in South East Asia.

As part of the deal, SafeCharge has completed the acquisition of a minority stake in 2C2P. No financial details were provided on that or the strategic deal between the two.

"The smart omni-channel technologies of 2C2P, their focus on mobile payments, local integration across multiple payment types and the company's management are some of the reasons for deciding to develop this partnership with 2C2P," said David Avgi, SafeCharge's chief executive.
