What were the main obstacles the industry had to overcome in 2015? How have market challenges affected your company's performance?

In 2015 we have seen many new advances and changes in the market: from economic and regulatory to technological. These industry changes have made 2015 exciting, challenging, and most importantly, successful for Ortiz Gaming as we prevail a leader in Video Bingo.

This year has pushed us to remain ahead of the curve, innovating along the way. The Ortiz attitude and company culture embraces challenges, turning them into opportunities. In 2015, we tripled our product offering while maintaining our global growth.

What was your 'flagship' product?

In the first half of 2015 our biggest hits remained the O-Future and O-Circle Cabinets, which have an edgy and avant-garde look.

These tall cabinets have been a hit with casinos all over the world because their stunning, hi-tech features elevate any casino floor. In the second half of the year we introduced so many new products that the focus shifted to the games themselves.

At G2E we displayed a multitude of new ways to play the game beyond the standard options, including OrtiZone and iContent which allow players to experience their favorite games anywhere on any device. This truly highlights the graphics, game design and versatility of the Ortiz Gaming library of games.

What are the company’s plans for 2016?

Taking the same approach of focusing on technology, Ortiz Gaming is already working on new products to launch in 2016. We are able to dedicate this effort, as the company maintains a solid foothold in this market. 2016 will guarantee exciting surprises from Ortiz Gaming.

Looking ahead, what will be the main challenges for gambling-related companies?

As always, changes in economies, regulatory environments and technology can present challenges. I would presume technological innovations may be the biggest advancement in the industry we'll see in 2016, but Ortiz Gaming is ready to welcome the opportunities that will come with these changes in the industry.
