Landing International Development is spreading its wings after agreeing the purchase of London casino Les Ambassadeurs.

The deal worth £137 million (USD 207M) to acquire the business from Twinwood Ltd is the first step for the company outside Asia.

Les Ambassadeurs is well known as a high end gambling club which was previously owned by London Clubs before selling it in 2006 to Indonesian tobacco tycoon Putera Sampoerna who had used the Twinwood vehicle to purchase the club for £115-million.

The casino in the West End of London in Mayfair has now seen several owners over recent times but with the casino offering 45 gaming tables from roulette, baccarat, blackjack and three card poker the staff of the exclusive club will be hoping that the new owners will ensure that the venue is a success in what is a highly competitive market in London.
