When it debuts in the second half of 2016, the MGM National Harbor casino will be home to a quartet of culinary headliners. José Andrés, Marcus Samuelsson and brothers Bryan and Michael Voltaggio have signed on to open restaurants at the Prince George's County development.

The big names join a host of other attractions at the $1.3 billion project just off the Beltway, including a 3,000-seat theater, 18,000 square feet of retail, convention facilities and more than 300 guest rooms and suites. Awarded a license by the state of Maryland two years ago to operate a casino, MGM National Harbor will also feature more than 125,000 square feet of gaming with table games and slot machines.

The chefs moving in said they see strength in numbers, rather than competition, in operating at the same location.
