Sky Bet reveals plans for multi-million expansion
Sky Betting and Gaming said the jobs would be split between Leeds and Sheffield. Under the plans, the company intends to open a new customer hub in Leeds city center and expand its technology hub at the Electric Works in Sheffield.
It will take the company's workforce across Yorkshire to more than 900 in the next 12 months, the firm said.
Chief executive Richard Flint said: "With the business performing well we have decided that now is the time to significantly increase our investment in people and facilities. This is a vote of confidence not only in our own plans to make betting and gaming better but also in the health of the Yorkshire economy."
The announcement also revealed the launch of software and commercial academies for 20 people in each.
Leeds City councillor Judith Blake described the investment as "fantastic news for the city and further evidence of Leeds' strength as a digital hub. We're delighted that Sky Betting and Gaming continues to invest in job opportunities here and the rest of Yorkshire."
